Our Commitment to Local Food & Sustainable Farming

We want to provide you and all of our customers with a truly unique offering of fresh, local, and sustainably grown produce with a service that is convenient and easy to use.

We have been serving our dedicated Farm Box Members since 2015 when we started with a traditional veggie box program from our own farm. Today, we partner with dozens of local farmers and food producers who grow a wide variety of fresh food.

We are farmer-owned and farmer-operated, and always will be. Our partner farmers are committed to making local and sustainable food more accessible in our community.

We use organic and regenerative farming practices and we buy from local organic farms as much as seasonally possible. Many of our farms are certified organic, and we also offer uncertified spray-free products, as well as conventionally grown food. All items are labelled transparently so you can make an informed choice about the food you receive from us.

We will always seek out and support local farms and food businesses first to support a sustainable food economy on Prince Edward Island.

As a Farm Box Member, you'll enjoy delicious, environmentally friendly food and meal kits, grown using sustainable farming practices: handpicked fruits and vegetables, whole grains, and rich proteins bursting with essential nutrients your body needs.

Eat Local PEI was created by Maple Bloom Farm. Our farm's mission is to grow healthy and organic food in harmony with our environment, build a community around real food, and make a positive and lasting impact on PEI's local food system. We operate in cooperation with our local farmers' market and small farm organizations, representing dozens of family-owned farms and food businesses across PEI.
